Good mastering is invisible — the listener only hears the music. Our process starts with understanding your artistic intent: what genre, what platform, what reference aesthetic. Every decision follows from that understanding.
Submit your mix
Send your final mix as a 24-bit WAV or AIFF at your session's native sample rate. Leave 3–6 dB of headroom — do not apply a limiter to your master bus before sending.

How mastering works

What format should I submit my mix in?
Submit your final stereo mix as a 24-bit WAV or AIFF file at your session's native sample rate (44.1 kHz or 48 kHz minimum). Leave 3–6 dB of headroom — do not apply a limiter to your master bus before sending. The more headroom you give us, the more precision we have in the mastering stage.
Do I need stem mastering or stereo mastering?
Stereo mastering works well for most projects where you're satisfied with the overall mix balance. Stem mastering is the better choice when you want more control over the relationship between elements — for example, adjusting the low end or the vocal level relative to the rest of the mix during mastering, without going back into the full mix.
How long does mastering take?
Standard turnaround is 5–7 business days for a single or EP. Full album projects take 7–10 business days. Rush turnaround (2–3 business days) is available for a surcharge — contact us before submitting to confirm availability.
What loudness levels do you target?
We target platform-appropriate loudness: −14 LUFS integrated for Spotify, −16 LUFS for Apple Music, −13 to −14 LUFS for YouTube, and −14 LUFS for Tidal. We'll discuss your primary platform and delivery preferences during the intake process, and you'll receive versions optimized for your specific needs.
Do you work with artists outside the EchoVira network?
Yes. EchoVira Mastering is open to any artist, regardless of label or network affiliation. You do not need to be part of the EchoVira label network to access mastering services.
What is your revision policy?
One free revision is included with every mastering project. We address your notes specifically and document every change made. Additional revisions beyond the first are available at a flat fee disclosed during the project intake.
